Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WhamFood (the "service"), accessed via the @WhamFoodBot Telegram bot and any related websites or interfaces. By using the service you agree to these terms.

What WhamFood does

WhamFood is a personal recipe library and meal-planning assistant. You send the service recipes, photos, or links and the service organizes them, generates weekly meal plans, and produces consolidated grocery lists. The service is provided on a best-effort basis at no cost during the current preview period. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; if we do, you'll be notified before any charge.

Your account

Your Telegram identity (numeric user ID) is your account. You're responsible for keeping access to your Telegram account secure. If you lose access to your Telegram account, contact us at [email protected] for help with data export or deletion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Send content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
• Send abusive, harassing, threatening, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test the service in a way that disrupts it
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without prior written agreement

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

Content you send

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you send to the service. By sending it you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it back to you (and to anyone you share a link with) for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Recipes you save from third-party sources (websites, cookbooks, social media) remain subject to those sources' copyrights. WhamFood is a personal organizer; we do not republish or distribute your library beyond the share links you create yourself.

Sharing

When you share a recipe, meal plan, or grocery list, the service generates a unique URL on a third-party hosting platform (Prismism). Anyone with the URL can view the content. We do not list these URLs publicly or index them in search engines, but you should treat the URL as semi-public — share only with people you trust.

Third-party services

The service integrates with third-party providers (Telegram, Anthropic, Tavily, Supadata, Prismism, Railway, and others described in the Privacy Policy). When you use those integrations you also agree to those providers' terms. We're not responsible for their availability or behavior.

Future integrations — including grocery delivery via Instacart — will require your explicit action (e.g., tapping a "Send to Instacart" button) before any data is shared with the third-party provider. We will not silently forward your information to a partner you haven't engaged with.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Recipes saved from third-party sources may contain errors; ingredient lists and instructions reflect what the source provided and what our extractors could parse. Always verify dietary information, allergens, and food safety. WhamFood is not a substitute for medical, nutritional, or food-safety guidance.

Meal plans are suggestions. Generation is performed by AI and may produce odd combinations or repeat recipes you've recently cooked despite our best efforts. You're free to swap, remove, or regenerate any plan.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhamFood and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which during the free preview period is zero).

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time by blocking the bot in Telegram. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. Data deletion follows the timelines in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via the bot or this page; continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of New York County, New York.
